Description
The Flagship of Monastic & Family TraditionKtima Paterianakis is an aged red wine crafted from indigenous Cretan grape varieties with a distinctly cosmopolitan character. The grapes are sourced from old, organically farmed vineyards. The red variety Kotsifali stands out as one of Crete’s most notable grapes, while Mandilari is renowned for its deep hue and intense tannins. Together, they form an exceptionally successful blend. While Kotsifali yields wines with high alcohol content and elegant aromas, Mandilari elevates the blend by contributing vibrant primary aromas, a deep red color, and bold, structured tannins.A Historic LegacyComposed of 80% Kotsifali and 20% Mandilari, “Ktima Paterianakis” holds a P.D.O. Peza certification and is proudly produced by the Paterianakis family for the 4th consecutive generation. Alongside “Melissinos Rosé,” it represents the very first wines ever bottled at the winery. The elegant label bearing the Estate’s flagship wine was personally designed by the winery’s founder, Georgios Paterianakis.
